My photography takes me around the world, and I’m fortunate to have photographed some extraordinary locations.
Here are a few of my favourites:
I’ve spent more of my life outside of New Zealand than in it. After living in Asia and South America for 20 years I returned to Auckland in 2016 and once again call it home. My collection of local photos is small but it’s a real privileged to be able to rediscover my roots through the lens.
I spent almost four years living in a town called Valdivia. It’s situated at the northern end of Patagonia, the wild mountainous region shared by Chile and Argentina that stretches deep into the south.
Three years in Sao Paulo. This city may be the greatest example of a concrete jungle there is! But there is beauty is it’s extraordinary sprawl. If you can get up high enough it glitters like gold, and sprayed on its alley walls are stunning artworks that constantly change. Many of these photos are taken in the historic cities of Paraty and Ouro Preto. UNESCO world heritage sites, they preserve the architectural beauty of the gold rush that so transformed this nation.
